4 Ways to Fall in Love with Yourself This Valentine’s Day
Love is in the air, why not fall in love with yourself? It’s so important to treat yourself the way you would treat a loved one. With Valentine’s Day coming up, we thought it would be perfect to talk about ways for you to fall in love with yourself!
- Forgive Yourself! Quit beating yourself up and show some compassion and forgiveness to yourself. The past is the past, no need to hold yourself back thinking about things you could have done differently! This Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to start slowly forgiving yourself, give yourself a hug, tell yourself it is okay, and recognize how far you’ve come and the lessons you’ve learned!
- Be your own best friend! Ever catch yourself talking down to yourself or feeling bad about yourself? Well yeah, we all have. It’s time to start treating yourself how you would treat a best friend! Think of the encouraging advice, hyping them up, the support, or positive energy you give to a friend. Now think of how you can bring these to yourself. Talk to yourself how you would talk to your best friend!
- Take time to yourself! We’re all guilty of not wanting to be alone sometimes but in order to really fall in love with yourself, you need to take that extra time to learn about yourself. Once you’re alone with your thoughts and learn more about yourself, you start to see what you truly are looking for. Whether that be in a partner, a friendship, or in your career. Being alone and becoming comfortable with yourself will definitely benefit you in the long run! You will learn not to settle for less than you deserve!
- Lastly, Treat yourself!! Think of it like you’re dating yourself, or again being a best friend to yourself. Start prioritizing yourself and give yourself a little treat and extra love regularly. Some amazing ways to treat yourself could be buying yourself flowers, booking that massage, or splurging on that jewelry you’ve been wanting! Show yourself that appreciation that you deserve and do the things that make you happy!
We hope that your Valentine’s Day is filled with lots of self love and you take that extra time for yourself!
